Seriously I just want to start by saying THANK YOU! I’m thrilled at the chance of seeing some new content for one of my little fandoms I requested this year. No matter what you come up with, I deeply appreciate you taking the time at of your holiday season to create something just for me. This is so awesome!
I feel like every year I have a little bit clearer of an idea of what I look forward to seeing in stories and what I tend to avoid if possible. I’m pretty easy to please but here are some rough ideas:
Do Not Wants: Underage, Non-Consensual, Unhappy Ending, Torture, Scat, Vore, High School AU, Gender Swap, Prostitution, Drug Use, Suicide. Infidelity, Betrayal, Non-Canon Handicaps, COVID-19/Pandemic, Zombies, Apocalypse, Band AU, Poetry, Time Travel, Songfic, Gaslighting, Politics.
Items I adore: Getting Together, Alternative Universes, Werewolves, Animal Transfiguration, Daemons, A/B/O, Marriage of Convenience, Fake Dating, Domestic fluff, Dating without realizing it, Enemies to Friends to Lovers, Coffee/Bakery Shop AU, Angst with a Happy Ending, Miscommunication that leads to Shenanigans (but is eventually cleared up), Magic, Sharing Clothing, Platonic Napping, Good Communication Between Partners, Tropes, Love Languages, Pining, Mpreg, Grumpy character Surprisingly Good with Kids, etc!
I’m pretty easy to please, anything you come up with will be amazing for me. Take or leave what you like — those hints are just to help give you a rough idea.
Fandom Specific:
The Fugitive - I don’t know why but I just love the interactions between these two characters. Richard is so clever at circumventing his own capture. Samuel is dogged in his continual pursuit. I get a kick out of how similar they are to one another and how they trusted one another despite everything telling them not to.
I love how Gerard’s team is a found family. Their quick wits and banter make me laugh but I love how they take care of each other too.
I’d love a glimpse into their lives after the movie. Richard and Sam recovering from the manhunt. The team sharing a night out at the bar together. I ship it.
Peacemaker -
This show was a wild ride that I didn’t think I’d get into at first but then it really sunk its teeth into me and refused to let go. Adrian is hands down my favorite. I love his loyalty to Chris and the lengths he’s willing to go to to help him. Their relationship is my favorite aspect of the show. The show doesn’t take itself too serious and it great for some crude humor and laughs. Adrian stole just about any scene he walked into.
I’m definitely a Chris/Adrian fan but if shipping isn’t for you, I’d love just something that is then working together that showcases their ridiculousness.
The Way Way Back -
Oh man. This movie was like a punch in the gut. The awkwardness of being a young teen and finding your place in the world. Duncan’s increased struggle because of the strained relationship between his divorced parents and his mother’s abusive boyfriend. Trent’s behavior throughout the movie goes untouched upon by any of the characters so the end scene with Owen defending Duncan by literally stepping between them !!!
I was always curious how that impacted Duncan’s life, the mom climbed into the back with him but what changes did she make ? What sort of back sliding? How was Duncan able to take his summer of growth and use it to defend himself against the Trents of the world?
I’d love to read about how the mother and son were impacted by their summer. If Owen ever reached out or reconnected with Duncan.
The bottom line is that whatever you come up with I will love. It doesn’t have to fall in to anything I’ve said above, go wherever your muse takes you! If you’re curious about the sort of stories I read— my bookmarks on AO3 are extensive!
