Yuletide Letter - 2019
Yuletide 2019!
Thank you for the story, no matter what you end up writing I appreciate the time and effort you put into creating a story just for me!
Some of my likes: I'm a complete trash bunny when it comes to Getting-Together stories. Traditional cliches are my weakness, like legit silly boys flirting with one another and just not admitting that they're dating. I like soulmates, mpreg, A/B/O, banter, miscommunication between characters, angst with a happy ending, pwp, AUs, daemons, roommates, nanny/kidfic, arranged marriage/marriage of convenience is a MAJOR weakness.
I love when the characters are like ships passing in the night, not realizing the mutual pining, leading up to misunderstandings and horrible failures as courting one another, as long as I get my happy get-together ending!
Dislikes or Subjects I avoid when reading fic: Drug use, major character death, underage, scat/water sports, high school AU, partner betrayal/cheating.
I added some stuff for each fandom I requested, it's not my attempt to shoehorn you into any particular idea, just to give you a general idea of what I like about that fandom and where you could potentially go with a story. I tend to write better when I have a firmer idea than just a loose notion, BUT that's just me so PLEASE don't let me pigeonhole you into something you're not comfortable with! If you find a plotbunny that's taken hold of you, run with it!
Fandoms I requested this year:
The Tick (tv series), 9-1-1 (tv series), The Judge (movie), Kings (tv series)
The Tick (tv series)
I was recommended the show by a supervisor at work, and after the pilot episode I was sold. Arthur and the Tick are just complete soulmates. I love how devoted the Tick is to his partner, and his constant upbeat take on anything Arthur says/does. It's silly and hilarious and I love how they somehow manage to make it work.
9-1-1 (tv series)
I just recently started watching this series, and am up to season three.
I love Evan (Buck) and Eddie Diaz. These two knuckleheads are so meant for one another.
I couldn't get over how we have Eddie mentioning his son Chris and Buck immediately saying he loves kids. Come on, they literally had a family trip to see Santa Clause -- all THREE of them! The scene where the whole crew are playing with Chris at the fire station and Evan is like leaning on the firepole? Uh -- yeah, that was some serious flirting going on there. Evan not correcting Santa's elf when she comments on Eddies and Buck being Chris' dads! Be still my heart! Also -- I JUST watched season 3, episode three. Buck struggling to find Chris -- and then how utterly devastated he was when he lost him. Eddie telling Buck that he doesn't trust anyone more than Buck with his son! FAMILY. These three are family. Also, I LOVE Buck baby sitting Chris. I have a huge weakness for nanny!fic and nanny!Buck with Chris is super adorable.
I love that Buck tries really hard to be a good person, and to better himself. To me Buck is an adorable cinnamon roll and he needs protected at all costs. Hen and Chim are definitely up for the task of giving Eddie the Shovel Talk. I love how Buck is essentially Bobby's de-facto stepson and Athena's step-stepson. Like the family dynamic between the group is my lifeblood. It's adorable and sweet and I can't get over it! So much fun. These people look out for one another and love each other, for all that they are all amazing BAMFs. Bobby is such a dad to Buck, it's so sweet.
Eddie is wonderful. He takes Buck's attempts to oust him when he first shows up in stride, refusing to let Buck's tantrums stop him from being amazing. And he is just such a wonderful dad to Christopher! I love it. Chis is a little beam on sunshine. These two Diaz boys are such an adorable family, they just need Buck to help Eddie lighten up.
So I love these two idiots who are clearly in love and need to setup house together, stat! I would love a story about how when Buck moved on from crashing at Abby's he moves in with Eddie (who needs some extra $$$ as a single parent that a roommate would provide). Or in the aftermath of losing Shannon, Buck moves in to help out with Chris. Or after the tsunami/fire truck crushing his foot, Eddie & Chris insist that Buck moves in with them. Eddie gets free babysitting, Buck has motivation to get up and move around, Chris has his two dads -- win, win, win!
The Judge (movie)
RDjr. is AMAZING in this movie. I can't get over how emotional and kickass Hank is in this film. Kennedy is such a woob. Like the guy is a complete puppy when it comes to Hank, and I'm there to eat it up with a spoon. I would love Alpha!Kennedy just trying his best to woo Omega!Hank, who just is so caught up in taking care of his daughter and being around his family again that he just completely misses Kennedy's attempts. Until he doesn't.
They don't have to be A/B/O for that, obviously, I just like the different take on the chracteristics you typically see within that universe with these characters. The Judge seemed like a traditional (alpha) that was disappointed in his (omega) son and to prove how much he didn't any alpha's approval/dad's approval, Hank went on to be an amazing lawyer despite how horrible the assholes at law school and his firm were about him being an omega. He climbed the ranks on his own merits, being a snarky fast-mouthed asshole and refusing to be a demure, quiet omega. I love him doting on his baby girl (so SWEET! their dynamic just warms my heart) and not lying to her when she asks hard questions.
I loved that Hank dismisses Kennedy as a lawyer but due to his father's refusal to give him up, eventually starts to coach the guy on how to be a better lawyer. That dynamic really drew me in. Dax is wonderful as this guy that runs a slow law business, helping his mama and being a complete cinnamon roll. I can just see him being completely wow'd by Hank, but Hank being used to alpha's wanting to change him and Kennedy not wanting him to change at all.
Kings (tv series)
David is a complete cinnamon roll and poor Jack has been done dirty his entire life. These two are just the ultimate power couple in my mind.
I would love an AU, whether it's a turn from one decision and the path it leads the characters or if it is a complete transplant of these characters into a completely separate universe. David was raised in the rival nation and is the 'bride/groom' presented to Gilboa's monarchy to broker a peace between the countries. Michelle is out due to her promise to god to remain pure, so Jack steps up to the plate. He always figured he'd have to marry for political reasons, he just didn't think he'd end up with the perfect spouse who he can't help but fall in love with.

Whatever you end up creating, thank you! I know it takes a lot of time and effort to plan out a story and bring these characters to life, so I appreciate you doing that for me during such a busy time of the year! THANK YOU!

Or I would love Evan and the Diazs just being adorable together. A family adventure together. People calling them an adorable family. Maddie and Chim calling Buck out on dating Eddie -- since his sister has already called him out on having a boy crush, and Buck has admitted he thought Maddie was talking about Eddie when she called Buck's co-worker (Chim) cute. There is some serious chemistry going on between these two, and however you play it out I would love it.
